Biography
Spike Adams is a retired Colorado judge and a proud father of three sons, having shared 35 wonderful years of marriage with his soulmate. Before ascending to the bench, Adams served as a trial attorney in both private practice and the Public Defender’s Office across three counties. He handled felony cases ranging from sexual assault to aggravated robbery and murder. His courtroom experiences—and the lives forever changed within that system—helped shape the themes in his novel, The Fourth Cross, alongside the enduring tragedies of Emmett Till and George Floyd.
