Wayne Ince

Wayne Ince—known to his readers as Big Sarge—retired from the United States Air Force as a Senior Master Sergeant after 22 years of service, including deployments to Desert Storm, Haiti, Bosnia, and Kosovo.

He is the founder of Breaking Ranks Books and the Breaking Ranks Blog, a platform dedicated to veteran wellness, mental health advocacy, and social justice.

His Sweetwater series draws directly from his lived experience navigating military service, community trauma, and a justice system that does not distribute its weight equally. Sweetwater Reckoning is the first novel in the Marcus Johnson Thriller series. Ince is based in Wimauma, Florida.
