Biography

James Caron Butler is a former professional basketball player and current coach, who played in the NBA for 14 seasons. He was born on March 13, 1980, in Racine, Wisconsin. Butler is widely respected not only for his skills on the court but also for his resilience and personal story of overcoming adversity.

Butler had a challenging upbringing and was involved in crime and drug dealing as a teenager. He was incarcerated as a juvenile but turned his life around through basketball. His story of redemption and success has been an inspiration to many.

In addition to his memoir Tuff Juice, Butler has expanded his literary contributions by publishing two children’s books: Clutch Time and Shot Clock. These books reflect his passion for mentoring youth and sharing life lessons through sports.
