In the beginning the club was comprised of both men and women. The men didn't last long! Our book club has 15 members strong and we meet on the last Sunday of every month to discuss books by and about African American people. We have our annual Reno bus trip, Napa Spa trip and we host a Fall and Spring Fling. Scott Haskins the author of "Sasha's Way" came for our Fall Fling in October 2000 and Kieja Shapodee the author of "Written In Red Ink" came for our Spring Fling in June 2001. Membership is by invitation only.
