It’s a surprise to me that I’ve written this book. I’ve had it in mind to write letters to a new mother for some time, and I thought that was the book I was going to write; but one day I found myself in a fit and it had to do with writing. I was disillusioned by things I was seeing in the world of poetry, and so I wrote one letter in an inspired blaze hoping to let emerging poets know about the journey they were about to take.
