My Heart Says This

With parents from the Bronx and Brooklyn, N.Y, It’s hard for some to tell where her roots were formed and grounded, coincidentally either her parents in one way or another ended up in the Deep South, and Shaniqka Thomas, was born and raised in South Carolina. She started out as a young child singing and writing songs with her cousins, which led to poetry and later on in life books, novels. She has a passion for words and the many ways you can combine them to make people feel and understand a different perspective. Her love affair with verses developed a long-term relationship with telling stories, and unlike her first marriage, she doesn’t foresee this bond ending.
