Description of Cooking in Community: Family Recipes from Lansdowne Friends School

Lansdowne Friends School is a Pre-K through 6th grade Independent School in Lansdowne, PA with an education philosophy grounded in Quaker values. The Cooking in Community cookbook includes recipes contributed by members of the LFS community. Food, the harvest, and cooking and eating together are sacraments in the Quaker tradition and this book is an example of the sense of communion fostered at our school. All proceeds from the sale of the book will go to the School and Community Association (SCA) at LFS for the funding of school projects and programs.
