Bourgeois Blues

Set in Atlanta, GA, Denise Daniels and Robert Jackson were the quintessential BUMP (Black Upwardly Mobile Professional) couple. They attended opening night of every play, made an appearance at all the networking functions, and traveled frequently. Turned off by Robert’s possessive behavior and his lack of creativity in bed, Denise breaks off her engagement to him. Denise then meets a fine chocolate-skinned brother, named Saadiq Jordan Sumners, who has everything Denise desires in a man and then some. The only problem is that he’s a driver for UPS. Saadiq, a strong, sensitive Black man, shatters Denise’s belief that a good man can only be found in Corporate America.
