Description of Tulsa Burning: Friends Show Their True Colors in Times of Trouble
Aamila spends every summer vacation with her grandparents. Usually, they take road trips to museums and cities that pay homage to the Black experience in the United States of America.
This summer, Aamila is taking a short road trip to downtown Tulsa. She has been told that the area was once called "Black Wall Street" for the variety of businesses and services that were provided to Blacks by Blacks.
Upon reaching "Black Wall Street," Aamila is confused by what she sees. Are her grandparents playing a trick on her?
