From a top young adult literary agent, the only guide on how to write for young adults

With an 87 percent increase in the number of titles published in the last two years, the young adult market is one of the healthiest segments in the industry. Despite this, little has been written to help authors hone their craft to truly connect with this audience. Writing Great Books for Young Adults gives writers the advice they need to tap this incredible market.

Prior to joining Serendipity Literary Agency LLC. as the International Sales Manager, Shanta Inshiqaq specialized in international sales selling trade and academic lists for Penguin USA & UK and managed sales in retail and distributor accounts in Asia, Latin America, Caribbean and Mexico for Penguin. Shanta coordinated the first ever international author tour featuring New York Times bestselling author Eric Jerome Dickey in the Caribbean, and raised the profile for African American authors outside of the US and non-traditional markets. Shanta was also responsible for promotions of the Bloomsbury list in the Caribbean, Latin America, and Mexico which included HARRY POTTER and Penguin UK's famous LADYBIRD books which sold millions of copies worldwide.

Arielle Loren is joining the agency as the lead social media strategist. As the Founder of L Media House her portfolio includes campaigns for corporate, non-profit, start-up, and personal branding clients including Sierra Mist, Tennis Channel, Broadway Housing Communities, and Yoxi, a creative competition to discover big ideas and bright stars in social innovation.

"With the addition of a social media strategist, publicist, and international sales manager, we plan to educate authors on how to enhance their platforms pre and post publication and raise sales both domestically and overseas."stated Brooks.

Collectively the newly assembled team will join Regina Brooks, Founder and President, and Foladé Bell Associate Agent. Serendipity Literary Agency, LLC. is currently developing a series of symposiums that will introduce authors to this new agency model.
