Abiola Bello
Biography
Abiola Bello is a Nigerian-British, prize-winning and bestselling youth author born and raised in Stoke Newington, North London. She is known for the fantasy middle-grade series Emily Knight (with titles including Emily Knight I Am…Awakened and Emily Knight I Am…Power). Her debut YA novel Love in Winter Wonderland (Simon & Schuster, 2022) was an Amazon #1 bestseller and featured widely in major press. Her 2023 title Only for the Holidays and new adult novel The Love Dare have earned awards and critical acclaim. Bello is co-founder of Hashtag Press, Hashtag BLAK, The Diverse Book Awards and ink! and is an advocate for diversity and representation in children’s literature.
