Ameca Reali and Marbré Stahly-Butts are prominent legal advocates and leaders in the movement lawyering space, specifically through their work with Law for Black Lives.
Ameca Reali is an attorney and organizer who has dedicated her career to building legal infrastructure that supports grassroots movements. As a co-founder and former director of Law for Black Lives, she has played a pivotal role in developing strategies that prioritize the leadership of Black communities and utilize legal tools to dismantle systemic oppression. Her work focuses on bridging the gap between traditional legal practice and transformative social justice organizing.
Marbré Stahly-Butts is a visionary legal worker and the former Executive Director of Law for Black Lives. A graduate of Yale Law School, she has been a leading voice in the movement for abolition and Black liberation. Stahly-Butts has extensive experience in:
