Biography of Christine Pride
Christine Pride considers herself fortunate to have built a twenty-year+ career in the publishing industry, working as an editor at several Big Five imprints, including Doubleday, Crown, Hyperion, and Simon & Schuster. Throughout her career, she has had the privilege of discovering and publishing outstanding books and collaborating with talented writers to hone their craft and bring their stories to life.
In recent years, Christine has transitioned to freelance work, contracting independently with publishers, agents, and writers on editorial projects, content development, and ghostwriting. She also teaches courses on writing craft and the business of publishing.
Christine is also a novelist. She has co-authored three books with Jo Piazza that examine the intersection of race and relationships through dramatic and emotionally charged stories. Her solo debut novel, All the Men I’ve Loved Again, is a lively love story inspired by her own life. In addition to her books, she contributes essays, including a semi-regular column for Cup of Jo.
The common thread in all of Christine’s work is her dedication to championing compelling storytelling, distinctive voices, and narratives that spark conversation and resonate emotionally. Her guiding principle is simple: smart, with heart.
Christine believes that stories have the power to change hearts, minds—and even the world. Though some may call that notion hokey, it remains a core value that drives her commitment to delivering, and helping others deliver, powerful and poignant narratives to eager readers.
