Biography

Damario Solomon-Simmons is a civil rights attorney, educator, and advocate for restorative justice. Widely recognized for his work on behalf of the last survivors of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre, he has become a leading voice in efforts to address historical injustices and advance equitable solutions for the future.

Solomon-Simmons graduated with honors from the University of Oklahoma and became the first African American recipient of the Joel Jankowsky Award, presented to the institution’s most outstanding law graduate. He has practiced civil rights law for nearly two decades and currently serves as Managing Partner of Solomon-Simmons Law. He is also the co-founder and Executive Director of the Justice for Greenwood Foundation and co-founder of the MVP Foundation.

His work and advocacy have been featured on CNN, The View, Good Morning America, ABC News, ESPN, The New York Times, and numerous other national media outlets.

He lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with his wife.
