Biography
Freddie E. Taylor is a dynamic entrepreneur, speaker, passionate history enthusiast, and dedicated philanthropist who has made a significant impact in the field of Black history education. As the founder and CEO of Urban Intellectuals (UI), Freddie has been on a mission to reshape narratives of Black culture and history that are often overlooked or misrepresented in mainstream education.
Under Freddie’s leadership, Urban Intellectuals has sold over 400,000 Black History Flash Cards and has been featured in major media outlets including TIME, Essence, HuffPost, CBS Chicago, Good Morning Washington, Milwaukee PBS, and ABC News Live. In 2018 and 2019, UI collaborated with JetBlue to feature the flashcards in JFK (New York) and Newark (New Jersey) airports during Black History Month, further expanding the reach of Black history education.
