Jasminne Mendez is a Dominican‑American writer, recipient of the Pura Belpré Honor Award. She is a poet, playwright, translator, and audiobook narrator. Her latest work, Aniana del Mar Jumps In, is a novel in verse about a young girl with juvenile idiopathic arthritis, praised by Kirkus, PW, and SLJ.
