Biography

Lawrence Ross is an acclaimed author, journalist, and college lecturer whose work explores race, higher education, and African American culture. He is the author of The Divine Nine: The History of African American Fraternities and Sororities and Blackballed: The Black and White Politics of Race on America’s Campuses, both widely regarded as essential resources in college and university libraries across the country.

Over the past 25 years, Ross has spoken at more than 1,000 colleges and universities, becoming one of the nation’s most sought-after keynote speakers on the subjects of Black Greek-letter organizations, campus culture, and racism in higher education.
