With more than 25 years of experience, Nekesa Namosunge J. Smith is a licensed cosmetologist, international educator, and oral historian dedicated to advancing textured hair care, wellness, and cultural storytelling. As the founder of Nekesa Natural Radiance, she develops holistic beauty solutions that blend science, artistry, and heritage.

Through Beautifully Driven™ and Crown Legacy, Smith leads oral history and media initiatives that document and celebrate the contributions of Black beauty professionals, preserving the stories that have shaped both culture and the beauty industry.

In addition to her entrepreneurial work, Smith serves as a flight crew member with Piedmont Airlines, embracing opportunities for global travel and connection. Across beauty, wellness, education, and storytelling, her mission is to create radiant experiences that honor legacy, inspire transformation, and empower others to embrace their authentic selves.
