Roy Weaver retired in 2020 as interim dean of Teachers College, Ball State University, concluding his third consecutive year in this role. A Ball State alumnus, Roy obtained his teaching degree in English in 1968 and embarked on a teaching career, which eventually led him back to his alma mater. Over the years, he has held multiple positions at the university and dedicated himself to academic research, specializing in areas like long-range planning and curriculum innovation. In 2021, Roy's illustrious career was recognized with both the Teachers College Career Achievement Award and the Ball State University Alumni Association's Distinguished Alumni Award.
David Sullivan, after serving The Philadelphia Inquirer in multiple capacities since 1983, retired in 2020 as its assistant managing editor. Before joining the Inquirer, David had stints at various newspapers in Indiana and Michigan. Throughout his career, he played an active role in promoting good journalistic practices and held leadership positions in organizations like the Society of Professional Journalists. An alumnus of Ball State University, David was honored as the outstanding journalism alumnus in 2012. Shawn Sriver serves as the accreditation and assessment coordinator of Teachers College at Ball State University. With an educational journey that began at Rochester High School and took him through Vincennes University, Indiana University, and Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis, Shawn has been an influential figure in the field of education. His accolades include being named Teacher of the Year in 1989 at Bremen High School and giving a commencement speech the same year. Shawn's expertise extends beyond education to encompass the golden age of music, television, film, and his fervor for the NFL.
