Biography of Sasha Bonet
Sasha Bonet is a writer, cultural critic, and educator based in New York City. Her essays and features have appeared in publications such as The New York Times, Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, and The Paris Review. She teaches creative nonfiction at Columbia University and Barnard College. Bonet’s debut book, The Waterbearers (2025), is a lyrical blend of memoir, history, and cultural critique exploring race, lineage, and belonging (photo credit: by Deirdre Lewis).
