Heather Neff, Ph.D., is a professor of literatures in the African diaspora at Eastern Michigan University and holds a doctorate from the University of Zurich. She was born January 28, 1957 in Akron, Ohio.

She is the author of several novels including Blackgammon, Wisdom, and Accident of Birth which was honored by the Black Caucus American Library Association in 2003. She lives in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Photo credit: Marcel Neff.
