Kakwasi Somadhi
Thirty-one years after receiving her first master’s degree from Goddard College, Kakwasi Somadhi Kakwasi returned in 2007 to earn an MFA in creative writing. Coming Forth by Day is her debut novel, and takes her love of literature and writing from a very private domain to the world stage.
Somadhi is a writing coach and editor, and teaches writing at Cosumnes River College in Sacramento, California. In addition, she teaches and writes about meditation, and serves on the organizing committees of the Sacramento Black Book Fair and the Hart Senior Center / Cosumnes River College Our Life Stories Writers’ Conference. she is a mother, grandmother, and seasoned life observer—all of which fuel the perceptions she takes with her into the world of fiction.
