Tom Wood became the first Black member of a major U.S. bank’s board of directors, when he became a member of the Chase Manhattan Bank board of directors under the chairmanship of David Rockefeller. Wood retired to Palm Coast Florida. He made his transition on December 29, 2020, less than 3 weeks after the video below was recorded. He was 94 years old.
