Notes:

Imani Literary Group is a dynamic group of Black women who come together once a month to engage in stimulating literary discussions about the authors we promote and encourage, the books we read, and the issues those books address. Imani is the seventh principle of Kwanzaa and means faith. Imani reads books by and about us because we have faith in our authors, many of whom have joined us as we discuss their works. Meetings are held at members' homes, African American-owned restaurants and local AA-owned bookstores. Imani is serious about our books! We invite men and women to join us at our monthly discussions; however, you must read at least one of the monthly selections to attend a meeting.
