The Kindred Spirits Book Club of Chicago from Chicago, IL

We are a small, informal, diverse group of dynamic and empowered women, who enjoy reading and discussing books by African authors. We believe that reading enlightens the mind and nourishes the spirit. We are committed to supporting African American authors and African American Booksellers. We meet the 3rd Sunday of each month at noon, for lively discussion and good food. One of our goals for 2004 is to attend an annual sistah bonding "excursion" to a different relaxing location each year.
