Literate Ladies Book Club - LLBC from Columbia, MD

We hold book club meetings every other month at a member's home where we indulge in the discussion of the book, exquisite food and cocktails. On the opposite months, we hold socials where we all gather to eat and socialize at a member's home. We are over 30 and under 50. We support Operation Xmas Child, Columbia Jack and Jill, Law Society, Ques, and a host of other organizations that at any time, any of our members may be involved with. Some of us were able to go see the Color Purple Musical together, a trip to Nassau, Bahamas, the jazz festival at Merriweather, Harlem Book Fair and held our first year anniversary meeting in New Jersey at the Hilton where Toni Staton Harris, author of Nothing Special, Just Friends, joined us to discuss her book. We are looking forward to many more years together and many more books and authors to discuss. Not only do we support our African American authors, most importantly, we support each other with our commitment to reading, friendships and family.
