Divine Eyes Book Club is comprised of predominantly African American women ages 23-27. This women's book club is for those who want to broaden their horizons and embrace the cultural around them through fellowship, food and sharing good books. We meet in the afternoons one Sunday out of every month at a restaurant in the Los Angeles area. We have tried all restaurants from Ethiopian to Thai, and our book repertoire includes The Color of Water, Little Scarlet, What Looks Like Crazy On An Ordinary Day, Homemade Love, and Gumbo. We like to discuss non-fiction and fiction books, as long as they are stimulating to the mind and have some depth. Additionally, we have outings to places such as Fly Poet, beach cookouts, and plays (starring some of our members!) We vote on our books, dates, and places, and would love to have you join us!
