The Sistah Circle Book Club from Buffalo, NY

Meetings are held once a month and the hostess is chosen on a volunteer basis. Dues of five dollars are collected from each member at meetings to defray the hostesses' cost for entertaining. Books for discussion are chosen democratically.
Our reading preference has been fictional literature by African American authors, either new releases or paperback. Our stimulating discussions touch upon the book and personal experiences. Our book club epitomizes fellowship and socializing all in the name of enlightenment and sistah-hood. We also incorporate celebrating members birthdays which fall in the same month as our meetings. As we approach our anniversary, plans on the horizon are designing an emblem, paraphernalia and traveling.
