Circle of Friends from Charlotte, NC

COF VIII is made up of avid readers who share a passion for celebrating African American literature. We believe that reading is a fundamental instrument in every day living thus strengthening the mind, body, and soul. Our reading selections will offer you a visit to the past, present, and an exploration of the future. You will receive a wealth of literary information, network with other book clubs, meet fascinating African American authors, attend literary events and create friendships with others from various backgrounds. Our mission is to provide an open forum for the exchange of ideas and opinions by engaging in rich dialogue that invites us to think about ways to enhance our lives, our communities, and our world. We meet every third Saturday of each month. The location varies and every quarter we meet at a local restaurant.
