We meet the second Sunday of each month to discuss contemporary fiction selections in hardcover or paperback by authors of color. Each member is expected to host a meeting; location, snack and refreshments are at the hostess' discretion. The hostess chooses the selection to be discussed at her meeting. There are no membership fees or dues. However, each member is responsible for purchasing her own books. Members who fail to attend on a consistent basis are invited to leave the book club. Guests are allowed as long has the hostess is notified in advance. However the guest must have read the selection and be prepared to participate in the discussion.
