Through the vision of book club member, Jannice Bannerman, we came together as a group of lades which bonded together and became known as Diamonds & Pearls Book Club. Our reading group tries to meet every six weeks to discuss that month's selected read. Although our reading group is currently composed of women, from time to time men are invited to participate in thought provoking discussions of writing relevant to our lives and the times we are living in. Our major event to date -- our book club hosted a "Sisters Coming Together" Affair; celebrating a book debut, ("Sisterfriends: Portraits of Sisterly Love"), and sisterfriends. Book reading, discussion and signing by Author Julia Chance; approximately 150+ guests in attendance along with some featured sisters / sisterfriends in the book.
