Reading With Passion from Los Angeles, CA

Reading With Passion is a unique book club for African-American women to provide a forum for exchanging views on books and an environment for networking, making new friends and discussing current issues. Reading With Passion was founded by Louraine Meyers in 1996. Our membership is limited to twenty women to encourage participation by all. Newcomers are welcomed by invitation only. Because of demanding schedules and our broad geographical representation, we meet every other month. Meetings are hosted by members in their homes or other venues of their choosing. Reading With Passion reads a variety of books by African-American authors which include fiction, non-fiction, poetry, motivational, mysteries and classics.

We sponsor optional reading, travel and cultural activities through our feature segments: Silent Sisters, Solace, Book Tours, Book 'n Basket Picnics, and Synergie our bi-monthly Newsletter.
