Sistah 2 Sistah Book Club as a forum for African-American women to enjoy the comrade of friendship while reading, dining, discussing books by Black authors, and having a lot of FUN! I also see the group as one who gives back to their community by participating in at least two volunteer events that uplift the community. It would also be nice to go to diner, plays, and other cultural events, as our schedules permit. We will meet on the third Saturday of each month in the home or restaurant venue that the discussion leader selects. The types of books that we read will be determined by the discussion leader and vary between fiction, non-fiction, poetry, motivational, mysteries, and any other book that soothes the soul, evokes laughter, and draws us closer as sistahs.
