Description of Overturned
Overturned is the sequel to Michael C. Lee’s debut novel, Chandler Park Drive. Readers are re-acquainted to fictional character Denard Blake, a Detroit cop. In Overturned, Denard Blake is investigating the brutal murders of a young Detroit woman and her two small children. The murder investigation intensifies when Blake discovers that the gun that was used to kill the woman and her children was used in a number of other unsolved murders, in and around Detroit. Meanwhile, Thelmon Kirkwood is a convicted felon serving time for drug possession in a federal prison. His wife, Nichelle, is working diligently on his behalf, with the assistance of sultry defense attorney Kathy London, to get his conviction overturned. The story culminates to an explosive ending when all leads in Blake’s murder investigations implicate Thelmon Kirkwood.
