Pictured is AALBC founder Troy Johnson with his original, one-of-a-kind custom portrait by Chuck D. Your commissioned portrait will be created using the same signature artistic approach and distinctive impressionistic style, then personally signed by Chuck D.
The “Sketchographs” are one-of-a-kind and nonreturnable. If you purchase this option, we will ask you to send us a photograph of yourself, and Chuck D will draw an original, impressionistic portrait in the artistic style reflected in the pages of Day One. Chuck variously uses pencil, Sharpie, color pencil, watercolor, sometimes spilled ink rubbed in by hand, oftentimes any other materials that he has at hand, to create the Sketchographs. The format is roughly 5″ x 8″ with some variance.
