Dear Book Club Member,

You are receiving this email because your book club has a webpage on AALBC.com’s website: http://aalbc.org/bookclubs/

We currently have 746 book clubs on our website. You can easily provide me with updates for your page by simply posting the information on the comments section of your page, or by filling out one of the forms provided.

My hope is that AALBC.com will come to be thought of a book club of Black book clubs. A place that serves as a platform where we can;

? Discover new books
? Learn what other book clubs are reading
? Share information about Book Club events
? Share resources for book clubs
? Help authors and book clubs connect with each other

I’m also sharing information about Black book club events for example;

The Literary Ladies Book Club of Rahway, NJ is hosting The Literary Lounge will host an all male author panel featuring Daniel Black, RM Johnson, Victor McGlothin, Brian W. Smith, K.L. Belvin and Clever Black. The event will be held March 19th in Woodbridge, NJ.

The Book Club Section of the website will be providing free banner ads for book club related events, products, and services. You can post the information in the comments section of your club’s web page and I will take it from there.

If you have ideas or suggestion please share them with me troy@aalbc.com. I’m also thinking about setting up a discussion forum for our exclusive use. Would this be something that interests you? Would you use it?

What we do can be as powerful and Goodreads, or anything available on the web. The goal is not revenue, but to uplift book clubs who are one of the few remaining proponents of Black writers. With a bit of organizing we can ensure that our impact on publishing is recognized which will ensure more Black writers have the ability to tell stories that reflect the reality and variety of our experience.
