Press Release for Two(2) Events
WHO: The 10th annual
Etheridge Knight Festival of the Arts in conjunction with The Indiana Historical
Society
WHAT: The 7th Annual Etheridge Knight Youth Poetry Contest
Guidelines: Open to Elementary, Middle and High School Students only.
(1.) Poems must be no more than 21 lines long.
(2.) On the same side of page as poem, students must include name, address including zip code, home phone number, name of school and grade.
(3). For acknowledgement of winners, send a self-addressed and stamped envelope with your entry.
(4.) Manuscripts will not be returned. Winners will be published in an annual youth poetry contest book.
(5.) Winners will be announced and awarded during the 10th Annual Etheridge Knight Po-Rap-Try Concert, held Sunday, April 22, 2001 at 3:00 P.M. at the Indiana Historical Society, 450 West Ohio Street.
(6.) Deadline for submissions and entries is March 10, 2001.
(7.) Submit all entries to:

WHAT: Po-Rap-Try Concert
--venue for young artist under 21 years to
showcase their talent in music, dance, poetry, and rap.
Deadline for applications is March 10, 2001.
