An Imprint of Bogle-L’Overture Publications
Bogle-L’Ouverture Publications (BLP) is a radical London-based publishing company founded in 1969 by Guyanese activists Jessica Huntley (February 23, 1927 – October 13, 2013) and Eric Huntley (September 25, 1929 – January 21, 2026). BLP’s first title was Walter Rodney’s The Groundings With My Brothers, and the company became one of the first Black-led independent publishers in the UK, championing fiction, poetry, children’s books, and radical non‑fiction at a time when such works were rare in mainstream bookshops.
