And now I need to read it one more time because it's a part of my literature homework. We needed to choose one book to read and then write a paper based on it. So I chose the book I know, and I like. I don't know if it will be hard for me to write, but from time to time, I use https://edubirdie.com/essay-writing-help-online when I have problems with other writing tasks, and when I feel like needing help, I'll for sure get it. But for now, I enjoy the book because the deadline is in two weeks.

I finished it two weeks ago, and I can say that it's one of the best books I've ever read. I really loved it

Schools (pre-K thru high school) exist to teach students the basics of how to read, write, count and communicate in order to function in a developed society. Otherwise, schools are also glorified day care centers. 🤣

Colleges and universities exist to provide 1) employment for a whole lotta folks, 2) networking center and 3) hand out degrees which are lottery tickets into the workforce.

There's no guarantee that a job exists on the other side of that lottery ticket, er, degree. See #2 above.

Technical schools are fading fast and there's a reason for that too. Most blue collar jobs can be learned via apprenticeship which is on the job training.

It only takes a company's willingness to hire amd train individuals who have a desire and/or ability to learn that particular trade.

Teaching a trade was farmed out to institutions. However, once blue collar jobs were shipped overseas and/or automated and cheap labor could be imported from other countries, there goes Made in the USA.

In a few years, the American workforce is going to be in a whole lot of pain. The country will end up with a bunch of educated people and no real job opportunities. Look no further than self-checkout in stores.

It will be commonplace to find  folks with degrees working at Starbucks or in some form of retail. Especially those people with degrees that are not math, science, medical or computer related.

Computers and AI (artificial intelligence) will be doing most of the work that doesn't require solving problems through critical thinking and/or getting one's hands dirty.

Yet, there's no shortage of things that need to be done i.e. jobs in this country. Those individuals who can see the *problems* that need to be solved and/or innovations to be made will be OK.  Jeff Bezos is killing the game right now.

And you know, nowadays education is not that accessible to everyone. It's pretty expensive, and it requires a lot of effort to get that Diploma, and not everyone will be able to face such pressure. For me, it's very hard to be a student from time to time, especially when it's the end of term, and I have a lot of deadlines. And when I have writing tasks, then I feel worse because I feel like failing. Now my skills are better, of course, but still, it's hard for me. I'm actually working on one of the final papers, and this link provided me with useful SWOT analysis essay examples, which helped me to move from the dead spot and finish that task. But I'll be honest; sometimes, I want to drop out because of the stress I can't handle. And you know, there are too many such tasks, and sometimes you don't have enough time to learn something more important. So something important can be missed, which will have an influence on the future.

The folks waving around a meaningless piece of paper might be able to get work as a janitor providing the company hasn't bought a robot to collect trash, sweep and mop floors and clean toilets.

The key to survival is being able to meet and fulfill opportunities that exist and/or creating opportunities that do not exist i.e. solving problems. There's no shortage of them. Education is a small piece of the puzzle.😎

You are so right about it. Education is only a small piece in the whole "picture". But it has a role, and that role is still important

At age 10 my daughter had a school report to do based on a famous person.

She likes to be different, try and be original.

    She decided on Hattie McDaniel.

Not much material available at the time. This before the internet.

Daughter ask the librarian and the Librarian came through and ordered a book, McDaniels biography.

Traveling through Colorado we visited sites where McDaniel grew up.  A brutal weather conditions area settled by freed slaves. That's a story in itself.

    The report a success.

Another subject considered was Spencer Williams. Actor that played Andy in the controversial Amos and Andy TV series. One of the most financially successful actors to ever work in Hollywood, yet probably one of the most forgotten.

My mom worked for Disney and for a while Disney made Instructional movies for governments. Disney's work was animated. Williams had a instructional film production company that did the same, but with live action actors.

That's how my mom and he's paths crossed and they became friends.

Williams also owned commercial income property and other successful businesses.

Me growing up in, working in and married into Hollywood show business I observed one thing. Anyone that's a good actor, is good at anything they do in life. That's just my observations from my experiences.

Another subject could be stolen Black composed music.

Scott Joplin spent his life trying to protect his copyrights. One infringer is said to be Irving Berlin. Marvin Hamlisch tried the same stunt but was called out early and reset his credits fast.

Bob Wills mega hit "Steel Guitar Rag" also stolen note for note from Sylvester Weaver who fought it in court. Oh brother is that ever disputed. Hold each sheet music together up to the light and it's identical music.

Just a few ideas above if your loved ones ever are considering a school report. And now I'm so happy that we have the internet, and there is no need to spend so much time gathering information. I'm also getting my degree and have to work on different papers, but I've gone to the library for a book, I think, only once. All the info I need I can easily find online. From time to time, I also use the help of https://edusson.com/write-my-college-essay because some papers are too hard, and if I can use the help of someone who write essay for college students, then why not do it? It saves time and effort, and I can focus on more complicated tasks and now on my exams.

Wow, that's cool story. I'm happy that the report was good. And it's cool that you visited such place, like you had a chance to "see" some parts of history yourself. I've never been to Colorado, at yeast yet.

The question is, do we really WANT "Black Unity".

I've said over and over again that there are a LOT of Black people I have absolutely no desire to unite with.
I'd like them as far away from me and my community as possible.

And my rejection of them has little to do with religion, sexual preference, tribal affiliation, or some of the other petty things many Black people argue and fight with eachother over.
My rejection of other Black people are over self destructive and strongly immoral activities like being a murder, a rapist, a child molester, a dope dealer, an informant to White racists, etc......characteristics that would destroy any community these people are found in.
I do NOT with to unite with those people until or unless they REPENT and REFORM of their wickedness.

I agree with you. That's actually my point of view, which I was afraid to express for some time. I was ashamed that I don't want to have a unity with some black people. But I think it's ok, why should I except murderer, for example, to my community

  5. I can only express my opinion on dating now because "back then" I was too small and knew about dating only from my parents and other relatives, Or from books if we're looking that far. I think that, first of all, daring now is not that romantic. Of course, it all depends on the person, but still, I believe romance is slowly dying. People are more direct, and they are in a "rush" to get to know the person as fast as possible because we live in such a period. Everyone is running for something, for work, for love too. They are afraid to be late and lose time.
And now we have so many dating apps, but it's not for me. I've used a lot of them, but I've never met someone interested in serious relationships. But if you're looking for fun, friends with benefits, you travel and want to meet someone - perfect option. Maybe it works for someone, but not for me.
I prefer "old-fashioned" ways of meeting potential partners - mutual friends can introduce you, you share the same hobbies, and meet at yoga/library/gym/pottery club, and so on. Or in a cafe, in a park, and so on and so for. I don't know why, but I believe that then you have more chances to create something more.
I may be wrong, I may be right, but that's how I see everything.
