This forum, once known as “Thumper’s Corner,” was named for Thumper, a popular contributor who also led our online reading group, The Coffee Will Make You Black, for more than a decade.

This board's purpose is to facilitate the exchange of opinions, ideas, facts, and information as it relates to Black people. This forum is also known as “Cyniques’ Corner,” named for our most important contributor.

Amazon poses a threat to independent booksellers and they are not going away anytime soon.  As Amazon continue to gain near monopolistic power we must devise ways to continue to thrive.  Here we share articles to help understand what Amazon is doing and how we can adapt.

Patronizing these booksellers help support the authors you enjoy, or have yet to discover, and the publishers who produce their work.
