  1. I'm looking to have my book, #MAKINGBELIEVERS reviewed.
  2. I'm entertaining the thought of writing my next manuscript but the internal debate is fiction or non fiction. Write from factual events or create a story line with character flaws and made up scenarios. What says you? This author is deeply seeking advice and direction. Thank you in advance, Greg
  3. My name is Greg Thomas, the author of #MAKINGBELIEVERS, the story of Plano East boys basketball team's historical, 40-0 State Championship season in 2023-2024. A great inspirational book with behind the scenes stories of fourteen players, five coaches and a starving community seeking their first UIL championship of any kind, since the opening of the doors in 1981. Not just a sporting book but one on teamwork, hard work, and a dream. Category, Non Fiction Sports Website: Gregthomasconnect.com
  4. My second release, #MakingBelievers, the Epic journey of the 2023-2024 Plano East boys basketball team 40-0 run to the 6A Division to the Texas High School State Championship. Get the full, behind the scenes activities, game by game summaries while sharing their genuine love of the game and friendship for one another. The group not only ignited a starving city with their play on the court, they galvanized an Eastside community while gaining state and national acclaim. These accounts, told through the eyes of varsity assistant coach, Greg Thomas, describes his 22 years with the Plano East basketball program, tell of the successes and shortcomings, as well as, the process of this journey to obtain their first ever UIL championship in school history. If you're looking for inspiration, provocation and an enjoyable excursion into high school basketball, this book is for you. Visit my website: @gregthomasconnect.com
  5. am*zon #'s indicates slow sales but people keep commenting that they purchased the from them. With little royalties and no listing on whom they sold to, I'm considering taking my book off too, any advice?
  6. I self published and launched my first book, No Doubting Thomas "Hawg Whisperer" My Arkansas Memoirs, in February 2022. The book has been recognized five times and won four awards (Independent Publishers, American Writing, Literary Global and International Impact), been contacted about a relaunch from a major publishing company and a possible movie adaptation opportunity. I've sent numerous queries for representation to no avail, What should I do? greg gthomaz08@gmail.com
  7. First and foremost, Mr. McMillan is like a folk hero. My uncle's would tell stories of and about the movement and the neighborhood friends they hung around with. Standing is historical and Ernest shares his activities, travels and provides his perspective of how the nation/Dallas chose to handle the growing black voices during the early 70's. It was a Honor to meet him.
  8. I recently finished reading "Standing" by Ernest McMillan, purchased during Tulisoma Book Fest at the Dallas African American Museum last month.
  9. Learning everyday, next contest is the D.A.G. (Distinguished Authors Guild) in November.
  10. It was a great event, met founder - CEO Troy Johnson of AALBC, founder Patrick Oliver of Speakloudly.com and local activists Ernest McMillan. Looking forward to the next Tulisoma South Dallas Book Fair but as a panelist.
  11. I’m new to the industry and I launched my memoir, No Doubting Thomas “Hawg Whisperer” My Arkansas Memoirs, in February 2022. It has garnered a few literary recognitions but my question is how does a self-published author get their books into local but smaller book stores and book signings.
