When ya feel good about bein a writer

Some years ago, when my novel A Vampyre Blues was published, I donated several copies to my local library.

A couple of days ago I was in there and the security guard walked up to me with the book and said, "Say, Boss1 Dis you?"

I said, "Yes, that's me."

I spent a few minutes with several of the staff fawning over me and lying (well let's say I was doing a little publicity).

Man, you can't buy that.

Now I gotta be careful not to get caught picking my nose in there or ogling pretty wimmens.
