New Mercies is derived from the King James version of Jeremiah's writings in Lamentations chapter 3, verses 22 and 23, which states profoundly, "It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.” What can be sensed in this passage of scripture is the presence of God's undeniable love, His abundant compassion and His extraordinary protection.
