Her thesis for The New School’s MFA in Fiction program, which became Book of Addis, was a finalist for the Fulbright Fellowship. She’s attended a writing workshop with Columbia University in Paris, France and the Callaloo Journal of African Diaspora Arts & Letters Creative Writing Workshop at Oxford University where she began work on the sequel, Book of Addis: Burning Plains. Brooke lives happily in Harlem.
