I am the award-winning author of the children's book, When I Fly With Papa (claudiamay.org.uk). It captures the faith journey of a seven-year-old black girl, Winnie, who experiences emotional freedom with the God she calls Papa. This three-movement poem invites readers ages three and up to co-nurture a relationship with the God of their imagination. With each illustration, readers do not see a physical image of Papa but instead meet a God who cannot be contained within one single image or limited to one encounter.
