Autistic Child Afraid of Imaginary Monster

A Young Boy Thinks a Monster Hides Inside His Shoes

ALBANY, GA.- Author Melissa Diane Hudson is proud to announce the upcoming release of her first Children's Picture book, There's a Stinky Monster inside My Shoes (Published by AuthorHouse).  Motivated by her autistic son, Curtis, who was diagnosed with Autism at the age of four, inspired her to create an entertaining story that young readers will enjoy. Hudson believes that autistic children do have imaginations but are unable to show or talk about them.

"A child with Autism has unique ways of learning and viewing the world. They have imaginations, fears, and creativity that many may not understand."

There's a Stinky Monster inside My Shoes follows the life of a young autistic boy who prefers to walk barefoot because he fears a stinky monster hides inside his shoes because his feet hurt. He does not understand why his big feet no longer fits  properly into his small shoes.

Hudson hopes the picture book will inspire, uplift, and entertain young readers.
