Chapter book for early readers age 5-12 years old

In the first book of this series, To Africa and Back, Cliff, Monty, Shandra, and Quisha’s summer visit to Grandma turned out to be more interesting than they had anticipated. An unexpected find transports them to ancient and modern Africa where they meet indigenous Africans and make new friends. However, they must find their way back home. They use their knowledge of science, history, and wits to find their way back to grandma’s.
