Willis Nathaniel Huggins
Biography
Willis Nathaniel Huggins, Ph.D. was born February 7, 1886 and passed of an apparent suicide in 1940/1. Huggins owned the Blyden Bookstore in Harlem and was noted historian, activist, and community mentor. H was also a member of the, now famous, As the Harlem History Club which Huggins renamed to the Blyden Society in honor of the great Pan-African scholar and activist Edward Wilmot Blyden (1832-1912).
