Reclaiming My Power: My Life in the Aftermath of R. Kelly

When I decided to release my first book , No Longer Trapped In The Closet, The Asante McGee Story in 2019, it was under the duress of the public and the networks to get my story out about my relationship with the infamous R. Kelly. This is my time to set the record straight, rebuild my character, and separate myself from the pack. I’m more than just one of the “R. Kelly girls.” My full story is something that I needed to take a step back, revisit, and now share; not just for my critics and naysayers, but most importantly for those who were or are in similar situations to my own, will read this book, and hopefully be inspired to act.
