In addition to selling books directly, The African American Literature Book Club also uses the several affiliate programs (see below) and may earn a commission from qualifying sales. These commissions help us realize our mission of celebrating Black culture through books.

*Note (10/9/2023): It is worth mentioning that I (Troy Johnson, founder of The African American Literature Book Club) was adamantly opposed to Amazon. The reality is that many readers in our audience, who buy books online, by them from Amazon. Also, an increasing number of authors have given Amazon exclusivity for the sale of their books, which prevented me from carrying those titles. All things considered, I currently believe it is in the best interest of the reader and our website to participate in Amazon’s Associate’s (affiliate) program.
